Diversity is key on our farm.

We are a husband and wife family farm with an almost 4 yr old boy and 8 month old boy.

Blaire's path to agriculture started at Otis College of Art and Design where she discovered the damaging effects of industrial agriculture. Blaire changed paths to farming and landed on a Biodynamic farm in Hawaii for 2.5 year before apprenticing under Harald Hoven at Raphael Garden at the then Rudolf Steiner College.

Daniel worked at a lettuce farm on the Big Island of Hawaii followed by an apprenticeship at Live Power Community Farm in Covelo in 2007-2008 after travelling the country looking for some kind of direction.  He volunteered at Camphill Village Copake, Hudson House in 2009, creating the Rope Alley Garden before returning to Covelo where he continued his agricultural pursuits.

After a chance meeting they combined their efforts and formed Folk Life Farm (all things agriculture) and Radicle Herbs (Cannabis) on a 62 Acre diversified farm. Located in Round Valley, just outside of Covelo in Mendocino County, the farm is Sun+Earth and DragonFly Earth Medicine Certified as well as practicing Biodynamic Agriculture. Growing food, herbs and medicine for our community is our priority. We believe that healthy bodies come from healthy food. Our beyond organic approach create food and cannabis with high vitality. Here is a list of the many agricultural activities we grow/create on the farm:

Vegetables - Fruit - Herbs - Flowers - Cannabis - Chickens - Cows - Merino Sheep - Sheep Shearing - Hay - Juice - Preserves - Cooking - Biodynamics

Our produce is sold at our local weekly farmers market as well as through our local CSA which we hope to expand this year further into the county and potentially beyond. We apply a variety of different agriculture modalities including no-till and biodynamics. We are passionate about Biodynamics because it’s an approach to agriculture that looks at the whole farm as an organism that strives for conscious evolution. Building fertility on farm through cover cropping, farm-made compost and potting soil and using homeopathic preparations are key to vitality on the farm.

Radicle Herbs is a Winner of the Emerald Cup Regenerative Farm Award in 2018 and is featured in an upcoming documentary "Tending the Garden" to be released this year 2023.
